Here are some photographs and video notes taken after attending various NAEA National Conference sessions. I'm hoping that other grant participants can use some the information I gleaned from this amazing experience!

Here is a brief overview of what I wanted to accomplish in these videos:

Art 2.0 Video #2: Faye Scannell with a middle-level photoshop lesson idea (for Antonette and the other techies):

Art 2.0 Video #3: Seymour Simmons debunked the myths of creativity and presses art teachers to be creative leaders in their schools.

Art 2.0 Video #4: State History and Art (for my girls, Rachael and Amanda), and a very engaging session entitled "10 Easy Ways to Kill Your Art Program" by Dean Johns and Cheryl Maney:

Note: Exhibitable work means that there is a product to show. Process-based lessons are great, but parents, administrators, etc. want to see what's going on - perhaps take videos or pictures if your focus is on process!
Art 2.0 Video #5: Web 2.0 Possibilities in Art Education. What is Web 2.0, and what are some tricks to using low to high technology in your art classroom? Are amateurs defining what is art?

Let me know if you want a copy of the list of sites with free alternatives to very expensive programs!

Art 2.0 Video #7: Podcasting and Vodcasting by Dan Quinn PLUS Mary Elizabeth Meier's presentation on introducing technology into the Art Classroom. Also included is my summary of Dr. Chris Falco's collaboration with David Hockney as well as how to make a camera obscura in your classroom. I have a very good video summary, but my problem is that the video is over 12 minutes long. I tried to split it with movie maker and upload to YouTube with no luck. I will review and make 2 shorter videos to ensure completeness. In the meantime, if you are interested in this video and want to see our friend Mary Elizabeth in action (VERY IMPRESSIVE), perhaps I can make a DVD copy for you!

Art 2.0 Video #8: Standardized testing in Art - a district-wide assessment from a HUGE district

and finally, Art 2. Video #9: Fabulous presentation on teaching art to kindergarteners PLUS ideas and support in collaborating with classroom teachers:

I had a great time, and will enjoy reviewing these videos as time passes to remember all of these fascinating ideas and people!
